Where to Stay at Pōcfest

High Rocks Camp

Pōcfest headquarters is the High Rocks Camp campground. Stays at High Rocks are covered by the Pōcfest registration fee (but you must bring their own bedding/sleeping bags, etc.). We encourage you to stay at High Rocks because that's where we'll be gathering every day--it's where the magic will happen. We also strongly encourage you to arrive before nightfall, because it is an unlit rocky dirt road for the last stretch, and it would be hard to find your way if it's your first time there. The road is okay for cars, but go slowly and carefully.

There are a variety types of facilities:
Bucolic grassy areas and some wooden platforms for pitching tents
Three-walled shelters with cots. These can hold couples, or up to four people. One of them is larger and has five bunkbeds.
Indoors. There is an office building and a one-room lodge where you could sleep on the (carpeted) floor or on couches. These are very limited.

There are pit toilets and shower buildings in the campground area, as well as a dining hall and campfire ring. It's not fancy, but it's nice.

We have the entire campground reserved, so you don't need to contact High Rocks separately.

Cabins

If you prefer to stay in a cabin, you will need to make your own arrangements, and we encourage you to make your reservations as soon as possible, since Pocahontas is a vacation paradise, and they will fill up for the weekend. We'd also encourage you to stay as close to the Pōcfest activities as possible, since driving home on winding roads late at night can be a hassle. Below are a few recommendations, but let us know if you need help finding anything.
Note: The Barnett Cabins and the Little Mountain Retreat Chalet are booked up.
